This Bluetooth Speakerphone Is Ideal For Meeting Rooms With Up To 12 People

Earlier in August, I reviewed the EMEET OfficeCore M1A, an affordable USB speakerphone ideal for small meetings with up to eight people. Now I’m looking at a wireless speakerphone from EMEET that offers more power and microphones for round-table meetings, especially when using apps like Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
The EMEET OfficeCore M3 uses Bluetooth for connecting to a host computer, although it also offers a backup USB connection. This larger speakerphone is ideal for every situation, from home offices to group meetings. In addition, the M3 comes with its own high-quality Bluetooth dongle for wide-frequency voice transmission. The dongle is useful because quite a few laptops don’t have Bluetooth that’s sophisticated enough to offer phone profiles and high-quality audio.
The 5200mAh lithium-ion battery inside the OfficeCore M3 can provide up to 18 hours of talking time on a single charge. If the battery runs out of juice, it’s possible to power the M3 using the supplied USB cable included in the box.
To ensure the OfficeCore M3 can pick up voices clearly in a meeting room, there’s an exclusive VoiceIA 4.1 algorithm that cuts down on background sounds and unwanted noises like the hum of an air-conditioning unit. The algorithm also effectively eliminates residual echoes and other everyday background noises like the clicking of a keyboard, paper rustling and even a creaky meeting room door being opened by a latecomer.
A 5W amplifier drives the speaker inside the OfficeCore M3 and supports full duplexing which ensures that the conversation is smooth and uninterrupted even when two sides in a conversation are talking simultaneously. In addition, the speaker has sufficient power to be loud enough for a meeting room with up to 12 people.
There are four omnidirectional microphones in the M3 that can pick up voices from any direction in the space. In addition, the gain level of the microphones is automatically increased if the person talking is moving around the room. This feature provides a constant pickup volume no matter where in the room the person is speaking from.
Verdict: I like the EMEET OfficeCore M3 is the ability to hook up two units for larger meeting tables. There’s also a headphone socket at the back of the unit so you can hold solo calls without disturbing colleagues in the same office. And to ensure the M3 stays on your desk, there’s a Kensington lock slot so the speakerphone doesn’t disappear. The speakerphone picks up voices very well and is powerful enough for all but the most extensive meeting tables. Recommended.
